A tiny drop in the ocean, a small ripple outward – sometimes our work feels small and insignificant in the face of what we want to accomplish or the challenges surrounding an issue.
But as this quote reminds us, a small ripple can gain momentum and build a current that is insurmountable.
Water is a powerful metaphor of how small persistent efforts can ultimately create big changes – I think of the beautiful arches of the desert southwest, and how erosion by water created these magnificent natural formations.
