“Say yes and you’ll figure it out afterwards.” ―Tina Fey
Continuing in my series of interviews with Do-Gooder Leaders, I’m so pleased to share my recent conversation with butt-kicker Holly Jones!
Holly and I met over 20 years ago in public health grad school. We’ve both gone in a variety of directions since then, Holly in a variety of leadership roles in the YWCA and as an elected local official in her community of Asheville, North Carolina. I’ve always admired Holly’s dedication to community and public service, her strong commitment to social justice, and her awesome sense of humor about life, so I think you’ll really enjoy our discussion!
Click on the link below (or right click/control-click to download the MP3) to hear our 30 minute conversation and get Holly’s insights on what she called the “yes path”: how to find your calling. Holly’s also got some great insight on the importance of the community and connections that surround and support you as a leader.
Your story is important too. In the Comments below, it’s your turn!
