A recent article in the British Medical Journal concluded that:
Or, in English: people's connections to each other matter. Your happiness impacts mine.
We are part of a larger whole. And we impact the systems in which we live, work and breathe.
So often, we can have the illusion that we are on our own, or that our actions have minimal impact. A slow response time between action and impact can increase this sense of isolation or ineffectiveness.
But if the beat of a butterfly's wings can change the weather pattern, if your happiness extends out up to three degrees of separation from you, trust that even your smallest, seemingly insignificant actions, do have an impact.
And, the opportunity is to choose the impact you want to have, consciously and intentionally.
What impact do you choose to have today?

Thank you for these beautiful and powerful thoughts, Hanna! I agree that we are all much more connected and affect one another more than we can possibly imagine. Really makes me think about the responsibility we have to be respectful and loving to those around us. Love your blog!
